Prismacolor or Derwent?
Do you prefer prismacolor or derwent studio colored pencils? I just bought the studio pencils, but I am wondering if I made a mistake. Opinions?
prismacolor pencils are the best you can blend them very nicely and the colors come out bright. experiment with them a while and mix different colors together
(ex. so you know what red to mix with what blue to get purple)
-magenta works great with blues and makes a nice rose when blended with white
also make sure your blending right: in fast circular motions (it heats up the colored wax that prismas are made of and that allows it to mix well), and to make the colors more blended and natural looking use the white prisma as your blending stick…trust me it works!
