Why are my bangs so coarse and the tips tear when I brush them?
About two months ago I noticed that my bangs felt burnt and very coarse they look horrible and when I brush them the hair breaks.
My bangs are extremely short now they don’t even look like bangs. Some strands seems to be a couple cm long instead of inches.
When I straighten it out I use a 1inch Chi and Chi serum and a Matrix spray that should keep my hair from damaging.
I don’t know why my bangs are so damaged they’re so short I can’t work with them any longer.
I know this is the last thing you’re going to want to hear, but it’s because you’re flat ironing your hair too much. Just because you use product in it doesn’t completely shield your hair from heat, it sounds like you singed it off. Stop straightening them IMMEDIATELY. Go get a deep conditioner. I suggest trying something like Aveda’s Damage Remedy Treatment (get the entire line if you can afford it, the shampoo, conditioner, Damage Control spray, and the Smooth Infusions Smoothing Serum). It will seriously help to restore your hair. While it won’t magically make them grow, it will make your hair much healthier.
A brand that’s cheaper that you could use is Nature’s Gate. It’s about $6 a bottle, and you can either get it from a drugstore or their website.
Both lines are organic, so you can be sure the nutrients your hair needs are getting to it, not to mention it will work twice as fast and better than a synthetic product.
Find new, cute ways to wear your hair. If you really need it to be straight, still use a thermal protectant in your hair, and blow dry it straight with a paddle brush and a concentrator on low heat, cool if you can.
That’s about all you can really do. Get your hair healthy again, and just wait for it to grow out. I hope this helps, sweetie.
