Which pipe do I hook up washer drain hose to?
Which pipe do I hook up washer drain hose from? Our pipe has 1 short pipe on the bottom and another pipe on top? We have a hose with a curve top hanging on the top pipe and when the washer drains out the water it comes out of the top where the drain hose goes into the pipe. Please help! I’m tired of seeing water come out.
i have to assume that the drain worked alright for sometime before your problem. if so, my guess is the service line (the pipe that runs under the house from your drains to the cities sewer line) is plugged. could be roots or just a build up of sediment. walk around your house till you find a 4″ pipe coming out of the wall close to the ground. it has a plug in it with a square nob for a wrench. that your access point . rent a snake(at your local rental supply) or call your local rotor rooter man. it needs to be done every few years. should fix you right up.
