What is the best way to wash my paint brushes?
I paint with acrylic paints and have cleared out in the sink, but not to pollute our drinking water? Not finished drinking water that finally after some filtering? Am I wrong?
Okay. The amount of paint in the brush is not nearly enough to contaminate drinking water and filtration stations are to prevent that from happening. Rinse the brush with water. Put a tablespoon of soap hand wash dishes and then start "painting" palm of your hand to get all the paint from the top of the underbrush and between the bristles. Rinse and repeat until you get any color in the soap. Rinse well again then put a thin layer of soap in your hand. Turn your brushes in it to reshape the tips and let dry. The crusts of soap as the size and dilutes itself next time you use. It keeps getting loose or curved hairs. If you ever accidentally dried paint on the brush you can go to Hobby Lobby or an art store and get special cleaner, but that's not good for brushes on a daily basis.
