How to make a wooden boat?
So I see quotes and other things painted wood around the time these days for $$$$. I wanted do mine, but wanted to know how to go about and do it. I bought wooden blocks and then want to paint a picture gallery for each letter. Wood is so harsh, so I'm assuming I have to sand down before painting to smooth out i? I'm not familiar with the sanding is done by the craft store take sandpaper or something I need to go to a store like "Lowes?" I had already begun to paint some ivory and I realized that the timber still showed. Is it because I used cheap acrylic paint? I think the brand is Folkart but I was trying to avoid this by buying the same one a little more $ $ and have already applied 2 hands. Should I treat ivory spray paint so the wood does not show through? After painting the blocks and placement of signs on the lyrics, I use a spray Termination? Thank you!
Hello, you need to sand the wood to smooth out and I think it would have a much better price at Home Depot or Lowe in the role sand – buy medium and fine sandpaper. It uses the first med then top it with a fine. Usually buy a couple of cans of white or light colored spray paint cheap and give a couple of layers of light wood dash so will not show through. Then, either go ahead and spray or hand paint. However, keep in mind if the grain is shown through a little – that gives it a rustic look. We made some signs as you are describing and the edges painted a dark brown or black. This resulted very nice. I do not use a spray of arrival, but could easily buy some spray on clear acrylic spray and give it a final, if you like. If you decide sell these ships in a show that needs to really see the price per table or space, as I have noticed that are becoming more and more and is very difficult to make a profit if it is very high.
