When planting roses do you go with what you like, or what coordinates?
Here's the thing. I love roses. In my old house with roses precious. In this current that I have tried to plant roses, but my dogs keep eating them. Now I will start 3 large bushes in the flower bed near the house planting roses there. (I have a georgeous flower bed, but no roses on it. I know they hired someone to design a garden, but for me it is not complete without roses). Now my favorite rose is the first prize rose. It is the most fragrant, but for me the pink flowers of great size can not be touched. Now that is funny because pink is not my favorite color, but I love that rose. I am also partial to the peace of Chicago. What do you put it? I have space for 4-5 roses. I'll admit, to Over the years, I had trouble finding a first prize rose. I will try very hard this year. I may have to try more than two nurseries, but I'm willing try. Should I give up my fav.? What plant if you had the chance?
I go with what I like, if color or fragrance. Then I for disease, pest resistance and endurance. Many years ago I left some stuff I got from Jackson and Perkins should keep dogs away. If you put a fence? I have many favorites. Roses are my favorite flower. For Rose, I love the fragrant memory. Double Delight is beautiful by its reddish color pink and ivory and the fragrance is delicious! For a climber, I love New Dawn. Not very aromatic, however, but very tough. I love Mr. Lincoln because it is very resistant, the flowers last forever and is very fragrant too. Princess Diana is a beautiful pink, but mine died the first year, so it depends on where you live. I live in the Midwest. Oops, better stop. There are so many I love.
